特徵描述

生活型

形態特徵

  • An evergreen tree, branchlets slender, light brown, ultimate branchlets terete, glabrous.
  • Leaves opposite, subcoriaceous, oblanceolate, obovate-elliptic or sometimes oblong, cuspidate at apex, attenuate or acute at base, 7–8 cm long, 3.5–4 cm broad, copiously glandular-punctate on undersurface, midrib slightly impressed above, distinctly elevated below, lateral veins 8–9 on each side of midrib, secondary ones inconspicuous; petioles about 1 cm long.
  • Flowers in axillary cymes, about 5 cm long, branches stout, glabrous, each usually with 3 flowers; flowers sessile; calyx-tube campanulate, lobes very short, broadly triangular; petals connate into a calyptra; stamens numerous, 3 mm long, anthers elliptic; style about 3 mm long.
  • Fruit globose, about 8 mm in diameter, bright reddish when ripe, crowned by the calyx rim.

分布

  • 台灣 : known from Lanyu (Botel Tobago) and Lutao.
  • 世界 : Philippines.
